Do you care about the food that you eat...the water you drink... the air that you breathe? We at PicklePalooza do, and so does Food & Water Watch, New Jersey. Stop by their table on Saturday and get acquainted with their efforts on keeping you and the planet healthy!
PicklePalooza is more than music, food and crafters. We are looking to bring about awareness. One group, Launching Point, does. Launching Point is a unique organization that serves as a self-injury support and resource center in New Jersey. Launching Point is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, EIN/Tax ID: 20-8289482.
Our purpose at Launching Point is to devote our time and efforts to providing awareness, support and relevant resources to people who struggle with self-injury, addictions, as well as assist loved ones. This vision is not limited to New Jersey, as we also reach hurting people and loved ones all throughout the United States!
Another group at PicklePalooza is Pathways to Independence. For the past 37 years, the Kearny nonprofit Pathways to Independence Inc. has helped those with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently in their communities.
Currently, from its 3-level, 18,000 square foot headquarters at Kingsland and Bergen Aves., it offers on-site adult training skills for 78 clients, along with job skills, extended employment and paid sub-contract work for 66 individuals, said Pathways Executive Director Alvin Cox.It also arranged for the placement of 12 clients at “supportive employment” opportunities at job sites in the community, he added.
PicklePalooza will have pony rides for the children..working with Horses 4 Hope. "Horses Heal. Our Mission: To Rescue Horses & Assist Individuals with Special Needs in Reaching their Full Potential through Interaction with Horses
We are unique in that we provide all private therapeutic horseback riding services FREE to people with disabilities, children who are victims of abuse,
battered women, children who are terminally ill, at-risk-youth, and wounded US Iraq & Afghanistan veterans"
