Positioning New Jersey as a Leader in Clean Energy Despite Federal Opposition
As I seek the Sierra Club of New Jersey’s endorsement, I share my lifelong commitment to sustainability—from organic farming to renewable energy. Over the coming weeks, I’ll outline real solutions to climate change, food security, and environmental justice.
Ah, yes. "Clean" natural gas—the fossil fuel industry’s favorite bedtime story. A fairytale so good they should be selling it as a children's book. Picture it: a cute little gas well, happily bubbling away, providing "clean" energy while birds chirp in the background and local communities toast to their economic prosperity. What a dream. Too bad reality looks more like a toxic wasteland where tap water catches fire and earthquakes shake once-stable towns.
Why I’m the Only Candidate Who Can Do Basic Math Let’s talk about energy. Specifically, let’s talk about how New Jersey’s major utility companies are set to raise rates by a staggering 17.5% to 20.5% as of June 1st, 2025. That’s not just a minor inconvenience—it’s an outright assault on families, businesses, and the economic well-being of our state. And yet, I seem to be the only candidate who has a solution that doesn’t involve mortgaging our future on outdated, overpriced, and dangerous nuclear power.
